Spencers Partners was established to focus on advising owner-managed companies and their shareholders on selling their businesses, and also to provide strategic consultancy services.
Its formation was a joint venture between Hewitsons LLP (a leading UK law firm) and two chartered accountants with successful track records in setting up, operating and selling businesses in diverse market sectors.
Since 2014 the company has been bought out and operated by Spencer Partners' founding director Tim Godwin, an experienced corporate finance professional and successful entrepreneur in his own right with a track record of founding, growing, raising finance and successfully selling companies in the technology and media sectors.

Tim is a chartered accountant with over twenty years' experience as chief executive of companies in the technology and media sectors. He has been a founding director and investor in several successful business ventures.
Tim has significant first-hand experience of owner-managed business disposals and company acquisitions.
Spencer Partners can boast a track record of success in corporate turnarounds, raising finance, R&D tax credits, company and business acquisitions and company sales over more than fifteen years
